Hey! Today I want to share with you all the beautiful 3-day wedding of Karinna & Daniel at finca Es Fangar, in Mallorca.
I include the videoclip of this gorgeous and fun wedding, at the bottom of the post. Please scroll down to the end of the photos to see the videoclip!
The bride and groom, both from the US, had met at the UIB (our local University) while studying a Master´s degree there. How interesting that they had to come all the way to Mallorca in order to meet! But I guess the island played its magic because they fell in love and of course, decided to come back to the island to celebrate their wedding!
I have to say it was no ordinary wedding. It was a three day event, with over a hundred people coming from the US to be with them on their very special day. The first day they had a rehearsal dinner party at the gorgeous Mallorca venue La Fortaleza (I am in fact doing another blog post after this one with the photos). The second day, it was the wedding day and the third day the couple had a brunch with party at Finca Es Fangar.
Karinna, the bride, comes from Miami, Florida. She belongs to one of those extended friendly, chatty, loud and passional Cuban families. It appeared later that the groom, from the Boston area, also had a mum with Cuban roots. Emotions were running very very high on this celebration. One of the things I love about Latin people is how passionate they are. We are the same and also very loud and joke and laugh all the time. During the ceremony at the church of Alcúdia everything was formal and quiet but once reception time came up and the couple made their big entrance, it was tears of joy, laughter, dancing, hugs, kisses, toasts …and lots of Cuban cigars!
Seriously, I think the bride’s make up lasted for two seconds, then it was more tears of joy, wiping off the tears, more laughter, then some more tears…and on and on. I loved to see how bonded both families were and how much they love each other and their friends. Karinna´s brothers were not only super handsome but also felt so proud and protective of their sister. That was nice to capture. I also liked the moment when the father of the bride sees her for the first time (some pics below) and the mum-daughter connection. Another favorite moment was the bride and dad first dance (don’t miss this at the end). Karinna´s dad was a serious looking and imposing business man that could not help crying like a baby when he danced with her daughter on her wedding day. I was very moved but surprised at the same time as he did look so imposing to me up until then.
Of course a great Cuban party cannot finish without a great Cuban band, with my friend´s Juan Antonio Gil band Cubayuma.
This gorgeous wedding weekend was possible thanks to the fantastic wedding planner Patricia Mulet from Ritual Mallorca. She has a very contagious enthusiastic energy and highly recommend her. The bride wore a beautiful wedding dress by Rosa Clarà.
Finally, thanks to the wonderful easy going, loving couple Karinna & Daniel. They were top notch and I really enjoyed capturing their love story.
And as promised, here is the videoclip!
