Marrakesh & Lake Como Trips

Hi! Sorry I’ve been quiet lately…I am editing thousands of photos every week trying to deliver all my weddings in time, or even before deadline!  When I have a lot of jobs to deliver I tend to forget about the social networks and my blog…clients go first…then my sanity!

It´s been a while since I went on these two trips that I really enjoyed. I went to Lake Como on a getaway break with my girlfriends last May 2018. It´s so easy to get there from Mallorca, the journey took no time. Direct plane from Palma to Milan, then a short train trip away…and bang! you are in Como! I had seen many photos of beautiful weddings at the magnificent villas around the Lake so I could not wait to see it all in person. It is just as beautiful as in the photos, a delightful place to visit, full of lush vegetation, ancient trees and the whole place is full of my favorite flower, the Wisteria. The Villas are of course gorgeous and hey! if you are planning on getting married there, I´d love to be your wedding photographer!! We visited three or four villas but my absolute favorite was Villa del Balbianello. Many of the photos below were taken there. It´s more than a Villa, more like a Museum, full of precious antiques from around the world.

Como itself is a cute little town, with lots of restaurants and bars and lovely squares and old narrow streets…bellissimo!! All the little villages on the lake are worth visiting, the most famous one being Bellagio.

I also include a few photos of my trip to Morocco. I went to Marrakesh and the Atlas last November on a yoga retreat. We stayed at one of those traditional Riyadhs in the Medina and woke up to the chants of prayer for our morning yoga and meditation. It was magical. We also visited little villages on the gorges (small canyons) and spend one night in the desert. Watching the sunrise from a dune was also a highlight of the trip.

On this trip I took my Canon 1V film camera and the photos you see below from Morocco are all Fuji400 film photos. The photos from Lake Como are digital and were taken with my digital Canon 6D but edited with a film preset so they very much look like film as well. Enjoy!
