Hey there! This gorgeous intimate wedding at Belmond La Residencia is in fact a 10-year anniversary celebration. When I met Sarah & Chris I knew this would be a very special event. It would actually be like a real (first) wedding! To be honest I don´t shoot that many anniversaries as they are usually quite low key, but Sarah´s excitement was so contagious I got really excited too!!
During that meeting, I also learned that Sarah and Chris had gone through the usual ups and downs of marriage and so they were very much looking forward to celebrating this milestone with their kids and the rest of the family. Sarah used to work in fashion and is now an interior designer, so she has a great artistic eye and very good taste. And I love brides that appreciate art because wedding photography definitely is an Art (with capital letters!). And of course, I knew her wedding vows renewal would be beautiful.
I loved everything about Sarah´s look. Her floaty dress made me jealous because I always wanted one for my wedding (and could not find one), and her flower crown was delicate and tasteful. The ceremony arch (or semi arch, not sure what is called because it´s missing the top) was also exquisite and I loved loved the dinner table filled with flowers and candlelights…it was so romantic and intimate. It was gorgeous photographing such a special family event, where they all got together and shared good laughs and drank and celebrated these 10 years that proved to them that love always wins…eventually.
