If you have never been to Deià , picture the most bohemian mountains filled with beautiful light, centenary olive trees and old Mallorca stone houses (ok.. a few donkeys too). There is something magical about this place that attracts artists and people from all over the world. On top of the hill, overlooking the stunning Hotel Belmond La Residencia, sits a little church that is one of the most romantic on the island. Pretty inside and on a perfect location, make sure you get a car ride if you are wearing high heels as its a bit of a steep way up. Couples love to walk down with their guests and it makes for the perfect photo opportunity.
The Hotel La Residencia is one of my favorite Mallorca wedding venues too. The place is a real gem, not only for the landscape, scenery and delicious food, but also for the outstanding service and friendliness from its staff. Trust me, I’ve been to many hotels and the service here is really 5 stars. Delphine, the wedding coordinator, is very experienced, helpful and professional.
In this idyllic spot Verity & Luke (England) tied the knot after 12 years together. Verity trusted me completely, which made me feel at ease from the start. Her three sisters and bridesmaids took over the bridal suite with their families included, which was fun. All the flower girls and paige boys, bridesmaids and bride getting ready together! Plus the husbands too! It reminded me of the Groucho Marx movie…We need more champagne please!
Luke was very camera shy but did not complain once and did exactly what I asked him…thanks for making a little effort Luke! I liked his white tux and overall style. His best man was a little crazy and I even took a snap of them two kissing on the lips! I was a little shocked for a couple of seconds after that, haha!
I absolutely loved all the decorations and details in white and pale blue and I must say I really enjoyed photographing this wedding. Hope you like it too! Thanks Verity and Luke, I wish you many more years of bliss and much love and happiness!!! XXX
